My Story

Taking care of people and helping organizations achieve their goals has been my favorite part of my career journey.

Since 2018, I've been developing my professional skillset to become the best version of myself, while being a part of some amazing teams. I started my studies at Texas Tech University with my eyes set on becoming an educator. Throughout my years in school, I had the privilege to join two great teams: On-campus dining and the Texas Tech Athletics department. While my time with these teams was short, I gained valuable experience about what it means to be a part of a team whose mission is to serve people.

In 2020, I began my teaching career as a student-teacher in the Lubbock, Texas area. It was here where I learned just how important it is for teachers to ensure they have a well-rounded skillset to serve their students. Given that I always strive to be the best in what I do, I began building and applying that skillset myself.

In 2021, I graduated with my BA in History, and started my studies towards my MS in Sport Management from Texas Tech University. Pursuing this degree gave me the experience and skillset that can transfer to a career in the growing world of sports and sports business. During this time, I acquired valuable knowledge and application of practices in areas such as organizational behavior, leadership, ethics, and event/media management.

In 2022, I had the privilege in joining the Lubbock Matadors as Lead Graphic Designer. The Lubbock Matadors were celebrating their inaugural year as the newest member of the National Premier Soccer League. As Lead Graphic Designer, I was honored to lead a team to create creative and engaging designs for various channels of organizational communication, specializing in social media campaigns

After completing my MS in Sport Management in December 2022, I moved to the San Antonio area to pursue my career in education. Since that date, I have been delivering inspiring and impactful lessons, teaching senior-level government and economics. During this time, I obtained a professional certificate in data analysis, translating to effective analysis of performance in and beyond the classroom. In my role, I have developed and applied skills such as leadership, people management, conflict resolution, effective communication and organization, settings goals, and assessing progress.

As I reflect on my professional career and look forward to what's ahead, I have decided to challenge myself to pursue a role in a different field. I continue to pursue professional certificates and gain experience in areas such as Project Management. I am very grateful for the people and organizations that have left such a great impact on me. I am ready for the next chapter and have prepared myself for roles like Project Manager, Data Analyst, Program Manager, or any other role where my skills can easily transfer.
